Default Love Hate and a Broken Heart - My 2.7 T A6 won't start...

It won't start up up right away that is. Yesterday, I found I was having an intermittent code 17704.

So along with a local Audi guy we started messing with the ECT (brand new)...as it appeared not to have been seated "correctly" (Maybe related---Maybe not)

anyway this morning it took about five try's for the car to start up.

Any suggestions or words to the wise? Besides Give up the stupid rhyming subject line---

Thanks

Default I'd start by replacing the coolant temp sensor.

That's the first thing I change when I have a mystery hard start with no codes.

I had it replaced 2 weeks ago -- could it have actually gone bad that fast?

Default bad coil pack??

From the research I've done on AW it seems that a bad coil pack would also be accompanied by some rough idle and/or some vibration--- IS this correct?

Once my car started up it seemed to be running smooth.

Default Regular checks

I've only owed the car about 2 months...so not real sure how healthy the battery & plugs are. I plan on checking them today.
