I will get the Febi kit - just got a nice email from Michael at Pure Motorsports.
I have the name of one Indy shop in Minneapolis, I've done some searches on here and I'll check another source.
The Audi dealer was doing this a part or two at a time. Each time that meant a realignment. The cost has been ridiculous.
I'll need to decide how many of the parts to replace now. It sounds like the best bet is to buy the whole Febi/Bilstein kit. That is cheaper than buying the lower control arms separately. I'm not sure how much sense it would make at this point to have it all installed.
I appreciate the input and I'll post on the results.

Two new tires for the front end. I waited toooooo long to get this done and the inner shoulders of both front tires was chewed up.
Cost for the job:
-- $537.- MS kit
-- 260.- tires/balancing
-- 67.50 4 wheel alignment
-- 280.- install labor
=========
$1144.50
I could've saved myself $330 or so if I wasn't such a procrastinator.... oh, well.
The car drives like a new one tho....

the most cost effectivve scenario and also easier on you down the road as you only have the car in for service one time.

116k on the car
24k on the upper control arms
34k on one tie rod end
29k on the other tie rod end
So, I think the stuff is only 1/3 or so through it's useful life, except for the lower control arms. The question is, what will the labor to be to do it all versus just the lower arms? I'll talk to a couple of Indy shops about it and then decide. I'm leaning toward just having it all done, especially if I can get a rate like Whitjr.
I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Steve
