Default Lowering question

Have any of you who have lowered your A6 had many problems with ground clearance? I'm thinking of lowering and swapping out the stock suspension but I've just been reading the posts about bumpers being ripped off when parking over curbs and am thinking about the potential for this being worse! Keep in mind that this is my wife's daily driver and she isn't as **** as I am about going over bumps, curbs, etc.

Your wife's daily driver? Leave it as is.

that's what i'm thinking, maybe i should just settle for some new sway bars for now to help tighten the corners.

I would just leave it as is. Wives are funny creatures...

Has she told you how unhappy she is with the way the car handles?

Default People who drive nose over bumper with their wheel pressed against the parking block are...

...worthy candidates for an Oldsmobile and have no place behind the wheel of any Audi.

Look at my car, it does not bottom out so I think you will be OK.

Lowering your wifes car OTH???

Default Maybe put a set of HSport swaybars on it, don't touch it otherwise.

And maybe just a PSK rear swaybar, not even an HSport.

Think long and hard on that, before acting.

Default I have been thinking of the same thing with my wife's A6...........

but she is not a cautious as I am. I am limiting the mods on hers to more cosmetic and maybe some performance, to lower it would be to give her the chance to tear something up.

Default You have to be careful with a lowered car...

I am and I still bottom out every now and then. I know for a fact my wife would not be careful, and if you're not, you'll have problems. I'd probably look at a stiffer shock and sway bars......but I wouldn't lower it.
