Lug bolt question: I understand that ideally, the bolt should turn a full 7 rotations after the
threads begin to catch. I just put on a new set of wheels and only have about 4.75 to 5 rotations until it's properly torqued. Safe or unsafe? I'll cross-post to the wheels/tire forum. TIA.

The new wheels are replicas that use bolts with a cone seat... I bought one set of bolts that were
too long and they bottomed out before I could fully tighten them. I bought a second set of bolts that now seem to be too short, hence the lack of 7 rotations. I guess I'm just trying to figure out whether I can get away with the shorter set or if I need to find another mid-length set.
