I have been using a Magellan Roadmate 500 ($699.00 on sale at Costco.)Although its not built into the car like the one in the Audi, it is much easier to enter data on the touchscreen than the wacky Audi dial. Its more accurate than the Audi system, not to mention you can update the memory card on their site rather than buying new CD's from Audi.
Something to consider over paying more for the factory option.

The Audi Nav is very cool since it integrates perfectly. The aftermarket units, like yours, can be much 'better' technology-wise, but can be an eyesore, IMO. Ahh well, to each his own.

it doesn't mute your radio
the screen was hard to see (a safety hazard)...which is why I like the arrows that I get in my center diplay etc.
My Nav+ is more accurate...as it pulls speed data from the inst. cluster.
I did like that it had a lot more points of interest loaded in it...than my Nav+.
But for $600...it is a great alternative.
