Magnaflow muffler, pre-resonator, resonator 101?

Where is the muffler located? Is that the thing also called back box?
Resonator is that the exhaust part that is located in the middel under the car?
In Norway we call the exhaust parts somthing quite different.
What is nr 1 on the picture called, and what is nr 2 called?
