Default I kept my last car (Audi 90Q) outside for 8 years. I also kept it...

... well washed and waxed. The day I sold it (10 years old) the original paint (nonclear coat) looked better than new. See my picture poster.

Garage doesn't keep a car clean, unless you compare it to parking on a busy street. Cars don't get dirty b/c of rain, it's because the rain allows the road dirt to be tossed up and onto your car.

Default I keep it washed/waxed, but...and don't flame me for this...

I use a drive through (Simoniz) that is down the street from work for that. I have yet to hand wax this thing myself. Had a detailing place do it once for me. Maybe one more visit for winter wax. Otherwise, I just use the drive through.

No swirls visible on the silver paint, and the car wash attendant is VERY careful about lining up the car for the conveyer to avoid scratching rims. They actually pull the car in for customers. They also do a good job wiping the car down after the wash. Soft clean towels only.

Was going to go today to prepare for a weekend retake of a winter sig pic, but it is raining today((

Default To me, waxing is both a preservative act, as well as Zen. I've never had a car waxed by...

... anyone else. Not a flame, but rather a suggestion that you try it. Nothing feels better than putting a nice wax on the car. Your car will look better than most for months between the waxes. I haven't washed my car in weeks, yet people still think I just washed it.

Default I had to find the Acura MDX forum

shortly after I bought my wife's MDX.

Much of our existance on this forum is driven by passion and compulsion. It also helps that it satisfies our need for help occasionally.

Not that I am going to rol the windows down via remote during the winter, but I wanted to check and clear error codes from the recent fuse/wiring thing. TIA! You da' man!
