Default Manually moving a stuck power seat? - Help please

Is there any way to do this? Bentley says move the seat full back and up to remove it. Of course it is stuck full forward. Impossible to see under it let alone find the longitudinal motor. It is either a bad memory module or a short in the wiring. 03 A6 Avant power driver seat with memory.

Thanks in advance

You probably just moved it forward enough to unhook the wiring connector, which has happened to a few people I know that have the A6. I am assuming that there is no power to the seat at all, and you cannot even move it up, right?

If the seat is high enough, can you reach the two bolts that secure the seat to the car? Look at this post to see the bolts I am talking about: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=1693961

If so, then remove the bolts, which frees up the front of the seat, then just tilt up the front edge of the seat and slide the seat back in the rails manually, reconnect the wiring harness (the red one has teh power), and then use the seat controls to move the seat back all the way. Then just re-align the front to bolt the seat down, and you should be fine. Just remember to not move the seat all the way forward again.

SNIP
Much obliged Boston Driver from a northern neighbor. I searched a number of threads but couldn't find anything on the A6 seats with pictures. Great link. Had the seat out in 20 minutes. Audi of Nashua was going to charge me $300 for that and another $500 for the Seat Control Module. Connector's were fine (though I did have that problem with my '98 avant) and had power to the Seat Control Module, no power coming to either height, backrest or front/back motors. Found a used module for $70. Vag showed all switches working correctly, so I'm hopeful that this will do the trick.
