Default Massive POP in drivers seat today. I was accelerating into traffic when this loud POP
came from under my right shoulder blade. I could feel something give in the seatback too.

All the seat functions seem to work, but I swear I am slightly tilted more towards the center of the car now. The seat back also seems to rock a little further.

Anyone know what could have given out?

Default 2 things
1. Check the supports at the seat bottom and seat back junction.

2. start eating more salad. ;-)

Now I know why my hair is falling out; the A6 has some device which makes you balder.

Sounds like the frame or the gear to the seat back. No fun taking it apart to see what happened.
