Hello,
Each time I get into the car the seat moves by himself to a preset position. It is a 1999 Audi A6.
I am not the original owner and I do not have the owner's manual. Please help me understand how memory seat operates.
Thanks!

On your driver's door there will be five buttons. An "M", "1", "2", "3", and a red Stop/off button. Simply push this red button in so that it pops out (is not flush) and the automatic seat will be turned off.
If you would like, find your most comfortable position and - i think - hold both the "M" and a number to save your current position. Then if you want you can turn the automatic seat (red button) back on and it will move by 'itself' to where ever you set it to.
