Default Ignition Coil packs are prone to faults on a 2.8 of that vintage but that will not cause the ....

lean running. Thatn is most likley coolant temp sensor as 4Driver4 suggested.

Default Be thorough with vacuum leak check - there are lots of small diameter hoses and they are all quite

brittle at that age and mileage. Hopefully the temp sensor is the issue, but if that doesn't remedy the situation double and triple check all those hoses! Good luck.

i am having the same thing ...just started happening, and when i am at idle for maybe 5 seconds she smoothes out again but there is that slight hesitation on beginning of acceleration, then good power, i am supercharged, thought it was an issue with it but sounds like it isn't ...thanks for the good info as always
