Talk about boring...could not get rid of it fast enough...and look where I ended up...HERE!!!!

MkIII Golf 1800 GL - Bought as a get-me-home when the diff broke on my.....

BMW 740i. It was a major service hog. Traded it in on 1 of my best ever, GS400.
At 49K miles it went to the Lexus dealer. I think it spent more time at the BMW dealer than some of the employees. When it was right though, it was fun and looked great.

1976 BMW 530i. 4 sp, 40k on the clock when bought, needed a new head, (cracked>
between valves which I learned was basically, "They all do that." BMW would not stand behind it at all. Then the clutch went, a/c went, viscous fan clutch went, geeezzus, most unreliable car I ever owned. I got so frustrated I traded it for a '78 Rabbit, dealer gave me back $800 cash.
