Default More on Allroad lights for a 99 A6

I just called Clair Parts, they have both the A6 and Allroad HID lights in stock.

Interestingly enough, an Allroad headlight is $461.74, while an A6 headlight is $519.00.

And while we're on the subject of parts that I need, a grill is $81.36, so I'm thinking of possibly doing a Kamei grill.

Also, a new cluster, which would fix my fading info display problem is $395.04, but I'm unsure of the labor charge... probably $100 or so.

So, how about a little poll. Photos are of trader1's car.

Stock lights:

or Allroads:

I may be leaning back to OEM lights...

Default Well, hold off for a while, Teddy

I NEED lights now, so don't go and buy anything that I might be bidding on or watching right now, if you get my drift.

Default OT: Cluster install is very simple, you need access to a VAG to 'setup' the new ones odometer, etc.

Oh, and I like the different look of the allroad lights...but I think I'm indifferent between the two. As long as you get the HIDs, it don't mattter!

Default Are you saying that any VAG-COM can recode a cluster?

Or are you talking about the actual VAG 1551/2?

On a dark car, I like the AR lights. Not sure on a light car.

Any VAG COM can. It's just an adaptation function. Only if there are less than 10 km on it IIRC.
