Default Well yes he is. Once you break stuff and start drilling, you're in deep.

I've not had that pleasure yet.

Default <DUCK!!>

Sorry! I tell ya, each one of my axles spent no more than 20 minutes out of the car removing them that way. 10 min to change each boot.

</DUCK>

Default GOOSE!

I had a similar experience as CTLAW, but fortunately, I also had a lot more experience, all the correct tools, a lift, etc...so I didn't get stuck. On occasion, the pinch bolt pops right out. Most of the time, it doesn't.

Cheers,

Default moral of the story...

If you ever have reason to remove your pinch bolt, slaver antiseize all over the new one when you put it back in. Then it will pop right out the next time. Just think of all the grief that would be spared if this particular bolt was made out of marine-grade stainless from the factory...

Default You've got a right to get offended by others, but they've got a right to post what they want.

If you REALLY want to be offended, go check out AWOT

Sometimes it's easiest just to ignore the stuff that offends, and concentrate on the stuff that doesn't (after all, it's a forum for talking about cars, not for imposing one's morality on others)...

Default if someone can impose immorality, I can respond with morality.

Thats what makes this country great, I will always stand up for my beliefs despite the secular majority.

Have a nice day.
