Default search trans replacement - it'll give u an idea ... not easy .... >>>

u would have to jack up the trans to get the trans mounts out .... and I think u would have to jack the engine up to get the engine mounts out .... probably have to pull the subframe ....but I am not sure ... this is a job cause to pull the subframe u gotta disconnect the suspension components ... Bentley should detail it out as would some technical postings ..... just search and u will find .....

Default defintely doable. Sound like tranny mounts are pretty easy...

here's the the job in a nutshell (penned by Piggie):

You'll need a 10mm socket, 13mm socket, 16mm wrench; 15mm socket, 17mm wrench, if you're running RS4's.

-remove a 10mm bolt from each heat shield side of the trans mount brackets.
-remove the 16mm head bolt from the trans mount
-remove the 13mm head bolts from the underside of the trans mounts
-jack up the tranny to remove the mounts
-reinstall..

Engine mounts are trickier, and require lifting the engine, somehow. Most prefer to do this w/a cherry picker, but i think some have tried jacking from below--but that poses a risk of damaging to the oil pan.

I'll be doing both of these jobs as soon as I can find some time. Let us know if you learn anything special about them.

Engine mount DIY
