I realize that you guys are just kidding around but...
I believe all these cars top speeds are electronically limited so the top speed is simply a function of the limiter and not representative of performance at all.
Though it may be illegal, there are places in the USA where one can go very fast, relatively safely. Sacramento to Las Vegas, (Comdex) a bussiness associate and I got over 140 several times in his chipped 2.7t. Never saw another car during these runs and the only worry was a SERIOUS speeding ticket from the air. By the way, the car was still accelerating very well at 145 and it surely would have passed 150, maybe even 160.

There are other places besides the salt flats in Utah to go fast (not legally) :-)

155 speed limiter...but avdh has gotten upper 160s...yowsa!!!
I bet you might push it a bit more if you were in the S6...I suspect it may be a bit more stable at those speeds than the 2.7T (wheels, suspension). 130 felt really good in the 4.2...wished I could have done more...damn speed limiter!!!
