My 3.0 Quattro engine shut off while making a sharp U-turn. Why is that?

Default My 3.0 Quattro engine shut off while making a sharp U-turn. Why is that?
BTW its an automatic. I made a sharp turn and hit the brakes pretty hard. When I put the car in reverse, I noticed the engine was dead while the tranny was in D. I put it back into Park. started it up. It works fine now, but why did the engine die in the first place?

Default Sharp turn. Heavy power steering load on the engine plus hard braking = heavy vacuum load on engine,
It just stalled at low rpm.

Thats what happened to me a bit ago, but it took out the serp tensioner and the clutch fan...

Perhaps it was an illegal u-turn? Audis know these things.
