Or maybe the Recaro site, where you might find some relief.<ul><li><a href="http://www.recaro-nao.com/produkte/inhalt_list.asp?segment=ergonomics#ortho">Recaro seats</a></li></ul>

is this the only time you went numb while driving in an Audi?
I've had 3 Audis the last 5+ yrs and never went numb...ever.
I know dealers can be unsympathetic, but if you think another dealer would've treated you much different, let us know. I've owned the other two euro luxury brands (BMW & MB) and I don't think their seats are THAT much better, nor their service.

as others said, how can one lay out this kind of $ on a car without an adequate test drive to know it's a good fit?
I feel for your pain, but I really don't think you did your due diligence here and the fault is not with Audi. I'm a pain on test drives, I tell the salesperson to stay at the showroom and give me a couple of hours with the car at least if they want to make the sale.
I've driven my A6 on 550-mile, 10-hour drives (I have a bad back, too) and it's the most comfortable long-distance cruiser I've ever driven.
Not to get too elementary, but for ex., do you take your wallet out of your pocket when driving? This is a well known cause of problems like you describe (not to mention that it's hard to imagine that the infinitely adjustable power seats can't find one position that doesn't cause problems).
It's unfortunate you're not happy but I guess you need a weekend with a car to check it out if you're that susceptible to such problems.

what kind of car is your old 'comfy' one -
I undersatnd your frustration but Audi makes some of the best interiors , esp with sport seats. I drove mine from West Palm in Fl to NH in 26 hours, even slept in it for 2 hours and felt no pain afterwards.
BTW Michaelangelo - like the S4; S500 never looked right
