My dad just got a new 2.7T... Taking the keys!
I got my 1.8T in April, 1998 and since then it's never needed anything special other than regular services. So when my dad told me he wanted a new car, an Audi was an obvious choice. To my DELIGHT, he went with the A6 2.7T! I can't wait to get my hands on it! I think I he got a great deal on it too... He only paid 500 over dealer invoice including all the options: GPS, luxury package, cold weather package, sport package, Bose stereo. It's Casablanca White w/ Black leather. OH... AND IT'S STICK (no other would do). I'll write my opinions once I drive it... The differences between the 2.7TQ and my A4 1.8TQ should be extremely obvious!

$500 over invoice?!! That's the best deal in the country!
That's the best deal in the country! Where did he buy it? Everyone else seems to be paying $1,500 - 2000 over. Almost too good to be true! Have fun!!

Did I mention that the owner of the dealership is my dad's friend? hehe... BTW...it's a 2000 model

That's the way to do it, especially if you're not leasing. A great buy at that price.
What was the wheel upgrade? You're right, $500 over invoice is only an average deal particularly for a 6 spd. 2.7t. Still, the important thing is that he got the car he wanted. Over the years he owns it, who cares about an extra $500 or so on a $45,000 car? ;-))

I'm still smiling!!!
Unbelievable! I think that sums it all up. Unbelievable. No comparison to my 1.8T. I didn't get a chance to punch it hard, but this thing is unbelievable. my only complain is that the steering isn't as precise as I'd expect, and the navigation system should be in the center console (I believe it is for 2001s), but other than that, its a dream!! Now.. how can I convince my dad to switch cars w/ me??
