My life with the EPC light on
So as you may know my car had a little electrical fire that took out my ecu and cruise control, controls. I ended up replacing the ecu but I'm having trouble with the throttle. The EPC lights on and I only have 32.5% throttle.
Well today I had to get the car up to my dad's shop which is about ten miles away today. Well it was an embarrassing moment for me I was passed by a ford windstar and a Saturn...what a sad day.
Unfortunately the day just got worse. I replaced the throttle pedal in hopes that it would fix the problem, but it did nothing
So I have a used throttle body that's going to be coming in Friday, I hope this fixes the problem...if it doesn't I'm kind of **** out of luck...does anyone have any suggestions of what else to check out?

Yes, I keep getting these codes:
18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal
18042 P1634 Accelera.Pedal Pos.Sensor 2 Signal too High
These codes didn't go away when I replaced the throttle pedal assembly either...

so did you check the pedal sensor's calibration?
What I'm getting at...
There is a steering angle sensor that needs to be re-zeroed/calibrated after heafy duty front end work. The Pedal position sensor, I think, would also need to be recalibrated when other parts or work are done.
Check on the VAG forum or right at RossTech.com you may find the procedure.

On EPC
It wounds like you had a fire with some tangible damage, so my experience may not help.
On my 00 S4, I had recurring EPCs, with the consequent limp mode. My codes were almost all "implausible throttle angle".
After Audi told me to begin relacing $1000 parts (thge sender and the stepper motor assembly), I declined and did some thinking. I postulated that like old carbon-composition potentiometers, repeated use could build up a line of dirt causing nboise or impeding smooth action.
So I did two things:
1. cleaned the TB with gummout
2. drove the car in such a way that I frequently applied full (WOT) throttle, inorder to move the various parts thorugh their full range of motion, and through any accumulated deposits.
It worked. Problem gone. I continued to apply "preventative maint" by applying WOT regularly (hgih gear - not accelerating fast, just moving the parts). never recurred.
Just food for thought.
