Most likely the car has to be re-programmed with the VAGCOM.

Default Did you change the battery? If so, just need to re-sync the key.
Stick in ignition but don't turn it. Press the lock and unlock button a few times on the fob. That should re-sync it, at least on my A4.

Yes, i did disassemble the remote and take the batteries out... Thanks, will try!

Default Error on one part, stick key in ignition and TURN to ON position (right before starting).
Then press the unlock and lock on the remote a few times.

Then turn to OFF and remove key and test.
