Mystery 2001 A6 seats

I bought some seats from a 2001 A6 in a junkyard, which I had thought were sport seats, to upholster with Alcantara and install into my Allroad. Well, the seats got back from the upholsterer, and I've since bought my S6, and now I realize that these are not the sport seats as in the S6 - but neither are they the non-sport seats as in the Allroad. The dimensions and bolster styles don't match either one. What the heck are they?
They're 12-way motorized, heated, airbag, mystery seats. The leather bolsters are actually a dark gray, not the onyx of the Allroad bolsters and the S6 - not even a color that was offered, to my knowledge. (The inserts were the same color, but of course are now pewter Alcantara.)
They came from VIN #WAUEH64B41N053394, if there's some way to trace that back to an option package. Autocheck says that car was registered new on 12/20/00 in Crownsville, MD, and declared salvage on 12/10/02.
Anyone have any ideas?

Really? Weird - the allroad seats look nothing like that...

Also, the bolster height and depth is different, and the width of the inserts is greater in the allroad than the A6 ones. I had thought the allroad supposedly came with the standard comfort seats - guess not.
