I had two occasions where the Nav insisted on getting me off the interstate tens of miles before my destination. I am using the New England CD.
I have set the options to favor freeways, fastest way.
Any clues? What is the latest CD update?<p>A6 2.7T July2000

I only have 2-3 trips using the Nav system on my new 2.7T, but I have noticed some unusual behavior as well. My issue with the Nav system is that my Nav manuals don't match the menus shown on the display. I can't see the menu items for Settings for example. I also can't figure out how to scroll down an item or two instead of having to keep entering characters to fully identify an item. Any suggestions?<p>A6 2.7T

I've had my car with NAV system for a couple weeks now and have used it regularly. It works wonders and I LOVE the traffic jam feature, god knows how many times it has got me home faster in slow traffic. To scroll through list of suggestions after only entering a few letters is to hold down the "enter" key for like 2-3 seconds and it will let you enter the scroll mode. Settings is by turning the "enter" **** until you see "settings". email me if you need more help.<p>'01 A6 2.7T

To jump to the list, press and hold the rotary selector.
The settings can be changed while in the NAV mode using the INFO button.
Let me know if I can be of further help.<p>A6 2.7T July2000

The database vendor for the Bosch nav system used by Audi is NavTech. They are happy to have reports of problems with the data, the URL is
http://www.navtech.com/database/data_driver.html
My California/Nevada region cd-rom is dated 08/99, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that the regions are not all updated at the same time.

Traffic jam work only if you are already being guided on a route. Say you stop by an intersection and notices traffic jam in front of you, you press that button, and it'll come up with an "Exclude" and then you can scroll through the maximum # of miles for the detour you want to make and then it'll recalculate the route and give you new directions. Hope this helps<p>'01 A6 2.7T
