I have a 2000 A6 4.2 with SatNav. The little round **** that controls the system (that we never use) stopped clicking when turned. It can still select stuff by pushing it down, but it just spins like a top. But the weird thing is that it will click at some random time and work for about three clicks and then stop. Anybody else happen to them???? I never use the damn thing and its frustrating that it stopped working. The whole control unit was replaced earlier when I first got the car becasue the foreward most two buttons were stuck in the "down" position. Added to that, Audi sent me the update cd for New England when I like in California!

part of the shaft that holds the **** had broken. The dealer replaced the entire control unit under warranty.

Happened to me too. Dealer replaced. Better than new...
