Default NE1 know what this DTC about? 17831 - Sec. Air Inj. Sys, Bank 1, Flow too Low 35-10 - Intermittent

Over the weekend I was on a road trip & my oil "MIN" warning light kept coming on but there is plenty of oil. Called dealer & they think it is a faulty sensor. When I got home I checked for DTCs and this was there:

17831 - Sec. Air Inj. Sys, Bank 1, Flow too Low
35-10 --- Intermittent

Could these be related? TIA

Leaky bypass valve. Change to 110s and watch it vanish.

Default AUJ, I have asked various versions of the same question but . . .

is this a part that I can get directly from dealer service? When I take my car in for the 5K service I would like to have this change done. I am working on negotiating free labor (partial) to install a brake upgrade during the same service visit. (They are swapping them out anyway)

TIA (again).

Default The Audi TT N valve is a 114 and will still throw this code or 17539. 110s are on 996TTs.....

It is a Bosch, but not Audi part. It is the same part# as an MTM/Bosch Sport valve. Hope that helps.

Do I understand? The MTM/Bosch Sport valves are 996TT valves? Thanks.

Default They are used in the Saab 9000 as well. I haven't eyeballed the 110s in a 996TT, but it has been

reported as such on the S4 Forum.

Default Had this too--easy fix on my 4.2

I got the same sec. air inj sys flow too low message when my check engine light came on last weekend on a 4.2. Cleared the code, but then it came back later again. After looking at the CD ROM parade of horribles, I located the check valve as being under the center engine cover. As soon as I removed it, I saw the vacuum hose was loose to the valve. Turned out the 10-12" hose shrank over time by an inch or more. Put on a new piece of vacuum hose, reset the light and no more problem; the slightly rough engine I felt for a while before was gone too. End of problem.

Default 9: Solenoid valve and 10: 2ndary pump motor can be thrown off by flapping BPV (intermittantly) :)

BPVs bilaterally adjacent to #22.
