I've SFTA and realize the quattro system normally exhibits some vibration on tight turns.
The 'normal' vibration becomes much worse once the car has been driven and is really warmed up. For example, after a 20 to 30 minute highway drive, when making a slow speed tight turn the vibration is 10 times worse than when first starting out.
Both outer axle boots have been replaced within the last 10,000 miles. There is no clicking sound associated with a bad CV joint.
One more thing that I'm beginning to suspect MAY be related: at highway speeds after the 20 minute warmup, the car has a hesitation, almost a "thump" when the throttle input is steady and just maintaining speed. If I accelerate slightly or coast and the thumps disappear. Two dealers have not been able to diagnose this problem and no fault codes have been logged. it doesn't appear to be a misfire.
Can this be a drivetrain issue? Anyone ever had a CV joint or differential problem that acts up once everything is heated up?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

center drive shaft possible. I've not heard of a heat related problem like this before. Will be a challenge to diagnose. Persevere.

No such thing as "normal" vib. does this increase with time under freeway conditions? 30 min freeway driving would not significantly warm C/V joints. Who rebooted your joints? Could be wheel bearing(s), a speed dependent growl, turn aggravated.

suspension or driveline problem when I was hoping it was just a tire or wheel issue...you never know for sure with these Audi's!
