1. Wrap tire/wheel combo in two large thick garbage bags, bundling the excess and putting it in the inside of the wheel. Tape it tight.
2. Go to uhaul and buy 12 Extra Large Boxes.
3. Cut two cardboard circles out of each box, to a size very close to the overall diameter of the tire. Use the tire as a guide, draw a circle and cut it out.
4. Stand the tire/wheel up. Put 3 layers of cardboard over each side of the wheel/tire, then start aplying a piece of tape from the middle of one side of the cardboard, over the tire, to the other side.
5. Roll the tire about and 1/8 turn, line up all the cardbaord, then put another piece of tape. Keep taping until you have the whole thing taped tight. Use a S**tload of tape
I shipped mine this way, and the receiver said they came through with no problem. The tire protects the wheel just fine on the edges.

I'm on the receiving end. Hoping to hear about a service/specific org that I can point the SELLER to that can take care of pkging, insur, delivery and any other items I don't have any exper with. Looking for a timely, hassle free drop shipment to a local tire shop, Audi dealer etc.
