New 2004 A8L - Speedometer and Nav Problems
Took delivery of my 2004 A8L two weeks ago--what a beautiful car.
Two (minor) problems:
The speedometer reads fast--cars are passing me on the freeway, at, I estimate 70 mph, when the A8 speedometer shows 80;
and,
The NAV unit does NOT show the altitude (it does show the lat. and long.), even though the manual says it should show the alt. at the vehicle position.
The dealer says the speedometer problem is common but that there is no fix available. As for the NAV problem, he is still looking into it.
Other than this, I have found no other MMI problems.
Any opinions or similar problems?
PS: The dealer supplied me with a pre-2004 NAV disk. Anyone know if Audi will send out a free replacement when the new Aug. 2004 DVD is released?
