The new A4 has a very A6 4.2 look to it. Check it out

http://143.164.247.21/event.html</a

This is how car companies operate. When they want to introduce a new "look," they start at the top or the middle and work their way out. As soon as the current A6 came out with its unusual bustle, it was obvious that this would become the new Audi look, esp. since the TT echoes it, and since the A4 is due for its makeover it will become more like a small A6. So, if you really like the way the current A4 looks, buy now or buy used.
Compare BMW (5-series, spread to 7 and then 3), and now Merc (new C-class just a mini S-Class).

The new A4 looks stunning. Yes it looks like a baby A6 but I think the A6 is a great looking car and will stand the test of time better than the BMW and Merc competitors. BMW's especially, seem to date very quickly once a new model is out. Some of the details are inspired. What a great idea to make the NAV screen pivot! Also the final piece of the German 2.8 vs. 3.0 liter jigsaw is in place. A new 220hp 3.0 litre will finally answer the complaints that some levelled against the 2.8 A6 once it finds its way into the A6 range. The A4 3.0 will be a great car as well.

They say the frame is now 45% stiffer than the previous model. It seems to me cars get stiffer and stiffer and stiffer with every redesign. You'd think by now we'd be driving a solid block of granite down the road...
