It's OK.

It does not give you much more control then a non TIP automaitic. I can not shift it into first, TIP does not alow it, also it shifts from first to second very early depending on how much gas I am giving, (If I wanted the transmission to think for me, I would not be in TIP mode - isn't that the point)

If it was not for my wife refusing to drive manual, I would buy this car with a 6 speed, I think it would be more fun,
but living in MASS. sometimes when stuck in trafic - after an hour or two I start saying thank good for Automatics..

Over all, bar the lack of control with the TIP the transmission seems to be very good, it's very smooth in my opinion, and does not seem to be doing much gear hunting, in part due to having a fairly powerful engine.

Default STAY AWAY FROM IRA!

Don't even bother with Ira or Clair...both dishopnest and sleazy stores..better off with either Bernardi or Pass & Weisz. Good deals with excellent service. Interested in their customers more than the deal.

I bought from Bernardi, and disagree that they are "Interested in their customers more than the deal"

My purchase experience was nothing to write home about.. but I got a pretty good deal, and the car is good..

My wife and I bought an Audi from Ira and it was a nightmare. We ordered a car, paid a $1000 deposit, and called them several times during the waiting period to find out when it would be delivered. After months of waiting, we were excited to hear that the car would be in soon and that they would call us. They never did. We called multiple times over the following week to find out where the car was and could not get a straight answer. We finally learned that they had sold the car that we had ordered to someone else. Our choice? Order another car and wait a few more months, take one from their lot, or refund of deposit. We will never go back to Ira
