Default New Skid Plate Help

Hello everyone,

The front skid plate under the engine bay seems to have detached itself from the car. Right now it is being held in place by tape and gentle driving, also in the photo below you will see that the bumper is pretty scratched up. The car came that way so my guess is that it was beat up a little bit.

Here is a image of the damage below:

I think I found the correct replacement here, but I'm not sure if it will fit my car. Can anyone tell me if it would work? It also does not come with fasteners, where can I find those?

Thanks,

-Bigshot

No clue, it does not say. I suspect there are dozens of them for various generations, chassis and maybe even motor configurations (not sure about the latter).

Why not get some ABS plastic; some ABS cement, and re-make the areas where it is broken from the fasteners. Front fasteners are 3 bolts (#8 i believe); rears are turn-lock thingys you can get at the dealer that mount into a piece of spring steel.

I was just wondering, some parts work that way... I found another one here its made out of aluminum, but costs $120 more, is it worth the extra money for this?

Ok, well in that case I can't find a replacement for this, unless someone here knows where to find it?

Yup I discovered that last night, thanks for the link though. I've also found the same one at two different websites for $82.

Here are the links:
