I looked at a ton of different tires when replacing my P6000s, and I think I went for the S03s because they provided the better value in noise, comfort, dry/wet grip, and almost double the life of a P9000. Keep in mind, I checked the ratings at Tirerack only. How do the toyos compare in life and price?

than the S-03s.
I know the S-03s are the flavour of the moment. They do seem to suit heavy cars with a sporting edge or overtly sporty cars, quite well, as their stiff sidewall gives lots of feedback. It makes the car feel fast and direct. However, the performance numbers (race lap times on the same car, on the same day, with same driver) are virtually identical.
There is a delicacy to the Toyo feedback (especially at lower speeds) that could be masked by heavy cars, so really ends up being driver preference.
