This means you don't have to deal with anymore of my irritating posts on tires and wheels! (haa haa)
I went from the stock Continental 215x55xR16 tires to a set of 245x40xR18 Goodyear F1 GS-D3's on RS6 reps. Within 10 minutes of driving (more specifically the first freeway on-ramp I hit) the new tires immediately earned every penny. It's almost like driving a different car. Only downside is a bit of tracking, but everyone I've talked to said that's just the way it is with high performance tires. It's barely noticable, so I'm not too worried about it.
For those of you that are not quite sure if better tires are worth it, I would say that it's the best addition to my car so far (ever so slightly better then the APR chip ;-)
Wait... One more downside. The Goodyear's are quiet and much smoother then the old Continentals, which means 90 feels like about 65 :-/

feel better than old tires. But it seems you've gone from one performance extreme to the other. Enjoy! One thing...try adding a couple psi to the front tires, see if that effects the tracking.
