As nice as it is, it's hard to look at my wife's non-lowered 3.0.

Default As nice as it is, it's hard to look at my wife's non-lowered 3.0.

(1) it's leased
(2) she doesn't care if it's lowered or not
(3) she'd never agree to spending the money on it
she'd rather have a chair from Pottery Barn

I'm bummed.

OTOH, I should be thankful she didn't get another ES300.

But to be 1.5" away from lookin' good is pretty frustrating.

Sorry. Had to vent.

You could always just do it and not tell her...maybe it's "settling on its springs" or something?

Default Careful...

If she notices the car is inexplicably an inch or two lower, she may believe its her fault and be driven to anorexia.

Default Your pic gives me an idea.

If I wore those stilts drywall finishers use, from some vantage points it would look lower. ;-)

Default I've thought about that.

Since she uses the car in her work, I haven't devised a plan where I can get it for a day without arousing suspicion.

Believe me, she won't be easy to fool. And I know I'd never get away with it. But once it's done, she won't make me change it back.

Default The only plan that has a chance...

is for me to find a shop that will do it between 11:00 PM & 5:00 AM. And have somebody take the car from in front of our house after we've gone to bed.

Of course, this will be the same night she has insomnia, notices the car's missing, and calls the cops.

You see what I'm up against. :-)
