No 605 relay on my A6?

No 605 relay on my A6?
OK, I read all the forums on removing the 605 relay and the great benefits. So out I went to my 98 A6, removed the 4 screws and unlatched my dash cover, took out my flashlight to see my 605 relay, and nothing! No relay, no sign there was even a spot for the 605...
So I kept digging around and found relay 392, on it is a sticker saying "C3" Servotronic "7038 900 209" "4B0 907 307" Hmmm I said, as I know I've read that the 605 was a Servotronic relay, could 392 be the same and the one?
One way to find out, I removed the relay and went for a spin... Well dollar$ to doughnuts, this is the one, my steering is firm, sporty and yes it would seem 605 FREE!
Can anyone enlighten me if I snagged the right one, or if Canadian models are different aside from being better than the defective units shipped to the US?

This is not w/o ps...
This is not even close to not having powersteering. It is much more sporty, and such as you'd find in a GS400, or A4.
Trust me this isn't an A6 K car.

Pulling the 605 is in no way like having "manual steering." I would classify the feeling as "sports steering."

Yep, archives have more details, but in short:
392 was 98-very early 00
605 was 00-01
628 is 02-
corresponding to 307, 307A, 307B part numbers.
BTW, I'd like your 392 if you're going to leave it out....

W/o the 605, steering on my '01 A6 2.7t is much heavier at slow speeds...
than the steering on my (former) '00 S4. At normal driving speeds the feeling is similar. I miss the steering system of the S4. I wonder why Audi didn't use it on the A6. Why do they think we want overboosted steering?
