Looks like Sunoco is discontinuing the 94 grade octane in NY and CT. Now they have an Ultra 93 octane which they claim is the same quality. Time to try Amoco or Mobil

Default Been an Amoco(now "bp" ) customer for years.. The Sunoco on hemp. tpke.

in uniondale for 94 oct. is way overpriced anyway.. I guess mainly because it's right across the street from the Nassau Veterans Coliseum.... location, location, location..... amoco ultimate fits my a6 fine....

Default Any name brand 93 octane is pretty much the same. The additives are very similar so I'll use Exxon,

Mobil, Citgo, etc. Any name brand. My main concern is to keep the fuel injectors clean and any name brand with cleaning additives should do a good job. Unless the engine is chipped, taking advantage of anything over 91 is typically not in the cards (except in extraordinary circumstances). A chipped engine is a different story. My normally aspirated and chipped 4.2 can take advantage of 93 octane. Higher tuned 2.7T's could probably use the extra point. What do u drive?

Default Sunnoco 94 is overpriced everywhere

consistently 15 or so cents above the 93 octane everywhere else. I fill up with a tank every so often but really don't notice any difference btwn performance with that vs Mobil or BP 93

Default I have a 2.7T

I have a chipped 2000 2.7T and I have a sunoco station 5 mins from my house. They said something about NY and CT banning the 94 octane because of some ingredient in it.

Default In LA we only have 91
