Do these joints still go out even with good boots? 95K miles.

Default What noise are you hearing? Clunk clunk clunk with wheels turned to lock?

I guess a CV joint could fail without bad boot, lube breakdown, bad bearing(s) lot. Collision damage, pothole, snow rocking. But rare to fail as long as boots/lube are kept up.

Click-click click at full lock. Classic CV to me. The confusing part is the boots are perfect.

Default Control Arms? I know mine click when I am turning the wheel and

they are definitely due for a change...just don't have 1500.00 to pay for the work and parts ATM.

Default Yup..used car? PO maybe did CVJ boots and not CVJ?

Maybe tried to clean out/relube old joints that had been contaminated for awhile from damaged boots?

Still, I guess CVJ could fail all by themselves. Have to take them apart and examine why...if you care. LOL...just replace them.
