Is this normal, in-dash volt gauge seem dagerously high?

I never goes below the 14 white line mark(line between the 12 and 16) and the highest it get is about the middle right between the white 14 line and the red 16.
right before I took this photo it was in the middle and it dropped a tiny bit as i snapped the photo.
Just wondering if its something to be concerned about since its so close to the red 16
