Not a groovy thang. (Someone grooved my bumper!) Ideas?

(Not the cutline between fender and bumper; it looks like a shadow over the reflection of my hand, and continues right.)
Someone undercut when backing, or it's an errant shopping cart mark.
Dangus.
It looks like a 1/8th-inch-wide depression, no more than .002 or so deep, with hard edges. Paint's not cut or scratched, but it made an impression, literally, on the bumper substrate.
Anybody have success getting these out? Heat gun, gently applied?

... this would be good. It's actually a depression... the paint never broke, but the underlying plastic is compressed. Polishing just the paint would probably leave a soft valley that would still be visible.
