Default NYC Metro Area Audi Group presents:: Cliffs of Insanity; AWD Drifitng 2!

Would you like to tempt fate on the edge of one of the most scenic roads in the entire country? Over 30 miles of non stop twists and turns on the side of a mountain, with nothing between you and a 300 foot drop into the Hudson River but quattro and a few strategically placed rock barriers and rusty old guardrails. High speed cornering with one of the best backdrops in the North East, and more apexes and elevation changes than you know what to do with.

Last years drive was a success, starting out at the Kensico Dam, to historic Route 9, up and around Bear Mountain, and through Storm King....this years will be even better.

Set aside Sunday October 26th for the drive, begininning in Westchester with a meet and greet, than a fast paced drive through the Hudson Valley, and back. Dinner, at one of the local establishments will take place after the drive.

We need a larger showing of A6s/S6s/and hopefully an RS6...Please make note of this event and look for updates.

Default Yes, that is the road. It would be GREAT to have you and your car show up.

Depending on the starting point we will be driving up the mountain, over the Bear Mt Bridge on to 218/Storm King Highway, back down 9 and onto another fun curvey road, and back to the meeting point.

Check nycmetro.audiworld.com in the next few weeks for updates!

Where in Westchester are you?

Default Most of the roads are seldom used, so they shouldn't be any problem

However we may have to block traffic in order to have a clear path up the 5 mile stretch to the Bear Mountain Bridge

Default Don't worry, we'll have

a few driving groups based on how aggressive you want to drive. And of course we will hand out detailed directions so that you can take the drive at your own leisure if you choose.

Default Croton-on-Hudson, soon to be chappaqua...the bridge is right in my backyard

That mountain rd. is usually kinda clogged. Depends on the day though. Are from around there? It just takes one old lady in a neon to go 20 and ruin it. I've flown through there at 80+ in an NSX I used to own but that was at 3am. But it'd love to go...the leaves are beautiful that time of year.
