Default O2 SENSOR QUESTION

When you get code P1113 which is pass side O2 sensor code, is it usually just the sensor that needs replacement or is it the cat on that side?.

Default Difficult to say. Could be either. Cheaper to replcae the O2 sensor first and see...

...once the codes are cleared to see if a code comes back for the catalytic converter later. FYI - if you have less than 8 years and 80k miles from original in-service date, your cats are covered by the Federal 8/80 warranty.

I'd say 95% O2 sensor replacement.

Default I have gotten that code before on my 02 2.7 and replacing the sensor

did the job. Don't cats start to rattle when they are going or is that the noise heard when they have gone?

Code says it's the O2 sensor. Replace the sensor. Not the cat. Exact same experience
