Default Obscure indicator symbol on the tach dial

On the Tachometer dial 1/2 radius from the center at about the 10 o'clock position there is an indicator with the following symbols: left arrow, number 1, right arrow "<= 1 =>". The only time I see this symbol is when I use the left/right turn signal. This symbol would blink one time in green color each time I use the turn signal pod for left or right. I can't find this feature in the documentation. Does anyone know about this feature and why is it there?

yes! mine is an 04 allroad. focus on the tach dial while throwing the turn signal lever either left or right I would see a single blink green indicator that looks like "<= 1 =>". Do you see this on your vehicle?
