I'm guessing all Avant covers are identical except for color, just need to find a black one, which most will be.

.....unless your cargo will be a bunch of soccer ***** you don't want rolling around, and in that case I'd just get a bag for them.
S6 owner I met over the weekend said he got a mat set from the dealer and he said he thought it was around $100.

No logos on my floor mats on '02 S6, but they do fit the little posts front and rear. I believe (but am not certain) that they came from the dealer before I bought the car.
I think the barrier net is handy to keep water bottles or whatever from flying around in hard braking or cornering, but I doubt it's strong enough to be significant if there's something heavy back there.
My car came with no luggage net and no cargo cover. I found both on ebay for about $300 total. The stretchy net is nice for keeping something small (like a laptop) from sliding around the floor. I also acquired a net that seems to come from an allroad--it isn't as stretchy, but it expands a lot and then can be cinched down with these big straps--handy for securing a suitcase or the like. It has an Audi part number, though I've never seen another one like it.
I agree that all cargo area covers are the same flat black, at least on a dark-interior avant. I have mixed feelings about it: it's nice to be able to cover your luggage area (but I wonder if that really discourages theft), but the mount for the cover ends up taking up a fair amount of room at the top of the seatbacks, because the cover never fully retracts.
I thought about doing skis the way you suggested, but they rattle and drip inside the car. I found it simpler to get a Thule Evolution 1600 roof box, which fits great and holds a LOT of stuff. Yes, more wind noise, but you can take it off in the summer.
Good luck. Awesome car!
