Default "Not Too Excited" about what in particular?

My cable conn is very fast. I get 300+k/sec downloads.Compare that to DSL's rouhly 70k.

I have a new 3Com HomeConnect Cable Modem #3CR29223. I will sell it for $120. It is brand new in the box. I am in the San Francisco Bay area and AT&T says my particular area is capable of non-DOCSIS compliant equipment only. So basically it's completely unusable to me. I purchased it on ebay about two months ago, and what this means is obviously it's not returnable. If you're interested drop me a line.<ul><li><a href="http://www.zones.com/cgi-bin/zones/zbs/scripts/product/product_summary_page.jsp?id=264140&sourceid=003838 28153599293270&zone=ZBS">http://www.zones.com/cgi-bin/zones/zbs/scripts/product/product_summary_page.jsp?id=264140&sourceid=0038

Default Well, only 42 million bits per second is too slow? Here is a hook up picture for USB only concerns.

Default Oops, had my thinking cap on backwards. 42 is very good, but only USB2 can go that fast.

USB 1 tops out at 12Mbps - but that should be no big deal since you would be lucky to see 10Mbps sustained from cable modem service. If you had synchronous DSL before you may be put off by ATTs 128Kbps upload cap - only twice as fast as dial-up. If you plan on hosting a site from home you may want to reconsider @home.
