Had the car half in/out of the garage and as my nine year old daughter followed me into the house she hits the door button!! I had a cardiac and couldn't stop it in time. Ran back out into the garage in time to watch the garage door bounce right off of the hood of the car and go back up.
Damage - one tiny 1/8" long by 1/32" wide chip! No worse than a rock chip and not even all the way through the paint!
Lucky me - BIG STRONG GERMAN HOOD! :0

Funny about this post. This is a true story, but 3 nights ago my father's brand-new Genie garage door opener binded up as the door jammed. Rather than kick into automatic reverse as it should, the sucker did it's best impression of the Little Engine That Could, and kept trying to force the door down. Within a couple seconds the unit ripped itself free of it's mounts on the ceiling, crashing onto the Mercedes that was under it. Am told there are numerous dents and scratches, including a dent in an A pillar. A claim has been lodged against the Genie guarantee, and they are sending their investigators to check out this disaster.
