Default Oil Leak. Very small dot of oil after driving

anyone know what it would cost to fix a leak like this? from looking under the car it seems to be coming out from just behind the plastic cover under the front of the car. from bottom of the engine. will it get worse in the near future? I wanted to get a 2007 4.2 sometime in the next 6 months. should i get it sooner if possible?

Thanks,
Drew

Default About $3.99, if it is a weeping rotary shaft seal, for a bottle of engine snake oil. This treatment

stopped a weeping rear main seal on my 2.7T. Of course you could opt to replace the seal, rear main at about $800. maybe?

Could be any one of several causes. You won't know the cost until you find the leak.

Default could also be a rear main seal, had leak in almost similar area...........

first shop thought it was the upper oil pan, took it in to get it fixed, turned out to be rear main seal. $1,600.00

Don't worry. Simple, just find the leak and fix it.

I'm probably selling or trading within 6 months.
