Default Oil? Tired of spending ~70$ for oil change I do myself...
I think I'm not going to buy the OEM oil anymore...what do you use?? Mobile 1 0w-40? Filter type?

Default castrol syntec 0W-30 euro formula, bosch filter
i actually noticed 25* lower oil temps when i switched from whatever the previous owner was using... no complaints here

Mobil 1, OEM or Mann filter. A set of ramps makes dealing with the engine cover much easier

Default While its not on VW's list, I used
M1 5W30 and Mann Filter with great success in my biturbo S4 (whcih is a tougher application with much higher heat).

I now use M1 0W40 in my S6 and my 986
