Gotta keep gas in tank, for when "the big one" kills power at stations...

Where did the wimpering noise come from? Was it a hiss or a squeal?
I have heard that the vacuum used to lock the gas tank cover sometimes develops a leak and can squeal or wimper?
This would only happen when you lock the car not when you unlock. Check to see where the noise comes from next time you hear it.
It was correct under warranty when I had my A4.

Thanks all.....
....for some odd reason I noticed that my combine miles to empty and miles driven is in the 500 range this morning....
...I noticed that while weaving all over the freeway on my way to work - I think I ran phred off the road - he was eating a bagel and talking on his cell while shaving and tailgating a Ford Exploder that had blown a tire.....
