Default ok ..... so Bostondriver was right ............

I thought I was being clever by saying that joining this forum was the most cost effective thing I have done in ages, No he said, once you get the modding bug it's gonna cost you plenty$$$. Guess what? Just bought a tiptronic steering wheel for a retro fit and scored a luverly pair of original RS4 brushed ali wing mirrors(including glass/elecrics etc), 'cos they fit the A6, for £147.00 I can see owning my A6 is gonna cost me BIG!!!! I am young (in my mind) but I will learn.

Default Also, if you already have audio controls...

You just would need the new wheel and a new steering wheel control unit to make it work. No more wiring would need to be done. The new control units are $$$$$ though.

Default To clarify, if you get a tip wheel with no audio controls...

You have to wire directly to the tip lever, like in the tech section. There's no steering wheel control unit involved.
