the one good thing about skinny arms... being able to pull the 605 relay w/o dropping the bolster
well its been about a week since the last time i changed, or altered in some way, my car... so i thought "why dont i give the 605 a try", i poped open the fuse panel cover and noticed that i had a straight shot at the relay... stuck my stick-ish forearm in an poped out the relay... done.
impressions: when the car is not moving its much more dificult to turn the wheel (as in, while parking or making a right turn coming out of a stop sign). however anything over 20mph and the car feels infinitly more stable. its amazing how much improvement in "road feel" can be achieved by removing the steering boost.
just to give an idea of the degree of skinnyness im talking here... think 17 yrs old, 6'1", 138lbs... still waiting for the metabolism to slow down =) no hurry though

i like it too
w/the relay out. much more feel to the road. notice a diff. on the slow/stop speed response, however my caveman likeness factors it out....think 250, 6'2" .... oh, and at 33...the metabolism divorced me years ago! there was NO WAY i was going through the fuse panel! i rocked back the lower panel under the steering wheel....

Heh, I was 5'4" 145lb when I got my license....I was 6' 185lb when I grad'd 2 years later.
I'm 26 now (27 in March) and I still have a kickass metabolism, but it's been slowed significantly since I stopped riding (it's dark when I leave the office). :/
Oh, and my forearm is about 12" around...so no way I'd get it through that same space you did. :P

Your not spoiled rotten.... just rotten. ;-)
Kidding!
I think it's great when parents help out. I don't think there is value when they just flat buy a car for the kid. My son's school has 2 Dodge V10 trucks in the parking lot that the folks bought for the kids. There is also a few Mercedes and BMW's there also.
My parents bought me my first car (74 civic) but I had to get a summer job at the end of the year and pay them back 1/2 of it.
He seems to think he's going to get a car for free but has a big surprise coming.
